Abstract: An integrative approach to curing chronic autoimmune conditions by a physician, researcher, and progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) whose TEDx talks have become web sensations like many doctors, Dr. Terry Wahls focused on the treatment of his patient 's disease with drugs. Or surgical procedure-- until he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2000. Within three years, his back and abdomen were weakened until he needed a wheelchair that could be tilted. Conventional medical treatment disappointed him, and he feared he would lie in bed for the rest of his life. Dr. Wahls began studying the latest research on autoimmune diseases and brain biology, and decided to obtain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids from the food he ate instead of pills and supplements. Wahl 's adopted a nutrient-rich paleo diet, gradually perfecting it and integrating it into neuromuscular stimulation regimens.
