Please match the side to your child's growth and nail condition. Front side (patterned, soft surface) : Gently trim thin, soft nails, with a smooth finish. You can use it for smoothing trimmed nails and filinf corners. Back side (white, hard surface) : As babies grow, their nails thicken. When using the soft side of the file starts to take time, switching to the harde side makes filing quicker. You can use the soft side as a finishing touch to make nail tips smooth. Making sure not to touch the skin, hold against your baby's nail at a 60-degree angle and slowly move from top to bottom, gently shaving the nail. If the nail tip becomes sharp, change to a horizontal filing angle. Warnings: Keep in a safe place, out of reach of children, to prevent choking and other accidents. If you notice anything unusual about your baby's nails, or anything else concerning, please stop using this product. Don't use across the nail surface. Don't use on wet hands or moist nails. Don't use too much strength or pressure, as you risk breaking the nails or causing injury. Baby's nails are thin and soften when wet, do not use this product on wet nails under any circumstances. Be careful not to get filed nail dust in your or your baby's eyes or mouth. Don't use this product for anything other than its intended purpose. We recommend using this product once a week, as baby nails grow quickly. Scratches to the face / skin can be caused by nails even 1mm in length.
