Description Pro-Enteric Triplex is recommended for symptomatic diarrhoea treatment. Thanks to its exclusive triple ingredient composition, the previously affected beneficial intestinal microflora can recover and stools become more solid. The recovery of the intestinal microflora balance re-establishes the defensive barrier in the intestine, The product also facilitates greater digestive efficiency, since balanced flora is a source of digestive enzymes which help enterocytes to better absorb nutrients. Each syringe of PRO-ENTERIC Triplex contains: Symbiotic: -Probiotic: Enterococcus faecium (NCIMB 10415) E1705, 2x1011 UFC/kg -Prebiotic: PREPLEX (FOS and Arabinogalactan) -Kaolin -Pectin Tasty paste available in 15 ml and 30 ml syringes. How does Pro-Enteric Triplex act? Enterococcus faecium (NCIMB 10415) is a Probiotic which promotes the competitive exclusion mechanism, fighting the overgrowth of pathogenic microorganisms which causes diarrhoea in companion animals. Competitive exclusion prevents pathogenic microorganisms from remaining in the intestine and obtaining nutrients, thus allowing the normal intestinal flora to recover. The Prebiotic (PREPLEX) is the specific substrate for beneficial bacteria such as Enterococcus faecium. By administering the bacteria together with its specific substrate, the beneficial effect of the Probiotic is strengthened, by increasing the probiotic’s viability. The combination of Probiotic and Prebiotic is known as Symbiotic. Kaolin has the ability to retain bacteria and toxins, preventing them from acting on the intestinal mucous. The stools become more solid, as Kaolin also retains water. Pectin thickens the liquid faeces, due to its capacity to retain water and normalise intestinal peristalsis.
